Sean Buncle to coach VFLW side in 2022

On behalf of the Port Melbourne Football Club Board and the Football Sub Committee, CEO Paul Malcolm today announced Sean Buncle as the new VFLW Head Coach.

Paul Malcolm (CEO) said “We have taken our time to work through the recruitment process that we had in place to ensure that we could identify the right candidate for the role.

Sean comes into a program that is well set up with a great mix of experience and youth and his development, people skills and experience will assist him in hitting the ground running.”

Sean comes to the club from Eastern Rangers where he has held several coaching positions. He has gained great experience in his previous roles and will bring a well-balanced coaching style to the program.

Sean said speaking with that Club that he is “thrilled to be selected to lead the Port Melbourne VFLW side for the upcoming season. Really excited to get underway and start working with the playing group and staff to continue to build on what’s already a strong program at a great club.

I have been involved in sporting communities all my life, which led me to studying and working in the sports and recreation industry as a professional background.

My love for coaching comes from the positive impact I’m able to have on people and my future aspirations are to continue to help people get the best out of themselves and achieve greatness”.

The board welcomes Sean to the Borough and looks forward to the 2022 season ahead.
