Coming off a strong win against Collingwood, the VFLW side will look to take down club rival Williamstown on Good Friday. Port Melbourne currently leads Williamstown 2-1 in their encounters, with Williamstown being the most recent winner from Round 6 in 2021; Williamstown 7.10 52 defeated 3.4 22 Port Melbourne.


There will be four changes from round 2, with Kate Adams, Maggie McKellar, and Bella Stutt sitting out due to injury and Fede Frew unavailable. Coming into the side will be debutants Ruby Dale from Sandringham Dragons and Steph Williams from Richmond AFLW. Defender Maddi Shaw will also return to the side, playing her first game for the season, and midfielder Jorja Livingstone back after missing out in round 2.

Good Friday afternoon will see Williamstown host Port Melbourne as they play for the 259th Johnson-Callahan Cup. The Cup is currently held by Port Melbourne after their Round 11 win last season, defeating Williamstown by 19 points. Overall Port Melbourne lead 137-113 with 8 draws.


In 2023 both sides are currently sitting on 1 win and 1 loss each with Williamstown 9th and Port Melbourne 11th on the ladder. Williamstown is coming off a win over Frankston in round 2, while Port Melbourne will look to bounce back after a disappointing finish against Collingwood on Saturday night.


Jake Gasper and Tom Cameron will return to the side after a week out due to minor injuries, with Jesse Cucinotta out due to a shoulder injury and Angus Curry omitted.
