Port Melbourne will look to get back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they face Frankston Dolphins on ANZAC Day Eve at Kinetic Stadium. The Borough will enter Monday’s match with two changes from their win against the Bullants in round 4. The Dolphins will be coming off a 26 points win over the Zebra’s in round 4, sitting with 1 win and 2 losses (bye in round 1).

The last time these two sides met was in round 21 last season, Port Melbourne came from 45 points down to defeat Frankston by 4 points at ETU Stadium. Port Melbourne and Frankston are playing for the Jim Renouf Cup, which the Borough currently hold. The Cup was first played for in the late 1970’s after Jim’s passing. Renouf played a total of 109 games for Port including the 1964 and 1966 premiership. He then moved to Frankston in 1969 where he went on to play 94 games.

21-year-old Tasmanian, Zach Adams will make his club debut, becoming Port Melbourne’s 2076th men’s player to pull on the red and blue. The 185cm midfielder has impressed throughout pre-season and on track to earn his spot in the side for round 5. Borough fans are set to be excited by his elite ball use and ability to work his way through traffic. Adams was named on the wing in the 2022 Tasmanian State League 22 and Under Team of the Year, coming off averaging 20 disposals per match for the season.

Paul Hunter and Aiden Fyfe will sit on the sidelines due to injury. Josh Green will return to the side after a week out with concussion.
