NewsIMPORTANT INFORMATION: VFL Round 11 vs. Williamstown This Sunday

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: VFL Round 11 vs. Williamstown This Sunday

Following yesterday’s confirmation by the Victorian Government that crowds up to 1,000 will now be permitted at outdoor community sporting events, the Port Melbourne Football Club are delighted to confirm the availability of tickets to this Sunday’s Round 11 VFL match between Port Melbourne and Williamstown.

However, there are several important points to note as we prepare to welcome you back to ETU Stadium:

1. Outdoor crowds are capped at 1,000 people. This means that as opposed to what has taken place thus far at our season 2021 home games, all Port Melbourne Members will NOT automatically be sent their ticket to the game and instead need to use the exclusive passcode provided via email to access their tickets.

2. Tickets to the game were made exclusively available to Port Melbourne Members from 2:00pm today (Thursday 24th June) for a window of TWO HOURS before the remainder of tickets went on sale to the general public at 4:00pm.

3. Even after you have completed the process of purchasing and receiving your ticket, all attendees at Sunday’s game MUST check in with the QR code provided at the front gate upon arrival (as well as scan their actual event ticket with the gate staff).

STEPS TO ACCESS TICKETS:

– Head to: https://vflround11-ptmelbournevswilliamstown.intix.com/

– Click on ‘Click here to buy tickets’

– Scroll down to appropriate entry type.

– Type in passcode (if provided via email).

– Click on the quantity of tickets required

– Scroll down and click ‘Next’

– Follow booking instructions.

Tickets will then be sent directly to the buyer’s email address.

4. The tickets to this Sunday’s game are being offered on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis. Once the 1,000 ticket limit has been reached, NO further tickets will be made available under any circumstances.

*** NO TICKETS WHATSOEVER WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE ON SUNDAY ***

5. The Club will be hosting an official Game Day Function with a patron limit of 75 in the Sandridge Events Centre. Places to this function will be strictly offered on an invitation-only basis, and be subject to the adherence of all Government COVID-19 event protocols.

We appreciate the support and understanding of all Borough Members as the Club continues to navigate the ongoing challenge of providing a COVID-safe environment to host our games and events.

We hope to see a large turnout of red and blue at ETU Stadium the Sunday as we write another chapter in the famous rivalry of Port Melbourne and Williamstown.

A reminder too that this game will see both Clubs compete once again for the ‘Johnson-Callahan Cup’, originally struck in 2019 to honour the memory of each Clubs’ most famous name.

As part of our annual celebrations of the ‘Frank Johnson Heritage Day’, the Borough will also be unveiling a specially-designed Heritage Jumper (pictured below) that is a tribute to club legend Frank Johnson and also the rich history of our proud Football Club.

The jumper, based on the jumper worn by the Club in the 1920’s, will have the signature and biography of Frank Johnson beneath the VFL competition logo, the Team of the Century players listed on the middle stripe, and 17 premiership trophies on the back dedicated to the Club’s 17 Premierships.

Keep an eye out on our social media pages next week, as each of the 22 limited edition match-worn Guernseys will be made available via auction, presenting a magnificent opportunity for Borough fans to own their slice of history.

The ‘Frank Johnson Tribute Medal’ will also be presented to the best Port Melbourne player on Sunday, as judged by members of the Johnson family.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to ETU Stadium this Sunday for what promises to be a massive afternoon!
